judging will be at the Food Fest from 12:00 - 1:00 and is limited to the first 100 people, so show up on the early side so you don’t miss out!

Make your favorite Passover Dessert and bring it to the Colorado Jewish Food Fest to compete with other bakers, confectioners, and chocolate-makers so we can crown the 2019 Passover Dessert Champion. You can enter either the traditional, paleo or vegan category. Food Fest attendees will have the opportunity to be judges and taste the whole yummy array and pick a winner in each category. Prizes include discounted and free Milk and Honey Farm programs. Dessert competition registration closes Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:59 p.m.


  1. You must register for the Colorado Jewish Food Fest to participate in the Passover Desserts Competition. Indicate your interest in entering the contest on the registration form when purchasing your Food Fest tickets and we will send you the entry form, which must be submitted by Wednesday, April 3rd at 5:00 p.m.

  2. Desserts must be homemade. Recipes do not have to be original. You can enter only one category, either traditional, paleo, or vegan.

  3. The dessert must be able to be kept and served at room temperature.

  4. All desserts must be vegetarian and/or dairy. They do not need to be kosher.

  5. We encourage participants to use higher animal welfare ingredients. We will provide higher welfare eggs for your dessert at no cost, and encourage you to use these. Details on this opportunity will be shared on the entry form.

  6. You will be asked to disclose all common food allergens for the health and safety of all participating judges.

  7. All entries must be at the Colorado Jewish Food Fest by 10:30 a.m.

  8. Judging will take place between 12:00 and 1:00.

  9. Winners will be announced by 1:30 pm in Levin Hall.
